Our Program

We want all children to be able to experience camp, so we make it a priority to find and distribute camperships to underprivileged, underserved, at risk children. Our program serves children from all walks of life, geographical areas, cultures, and economic statuses. We are very lucky to have strong partnerships with other nonprofit agencies who serve these children, so we can continue to help them reach their full potential in the summer. We would like especially to thank our partners at SCOPE, the Elmezzi Foundation, and the Scott J. Beigel Memorial Fund

Our sleepaway camp program is designed to provide campers with opportunities to make friends, have fun, and develop a sense of cooperation and independence.  With staff from around the United States and the world, campers can gain a real understanding of all the things they can be and all the places they can go.  Our 156 acres of land, 15 acre pond, nature, adventure, and water activities, specialists in the arts, and talented staff ensure that there is something for everyone here at Camp Herrlich. Scroll down for more information.

Sleepaway camp is open to everyone! We have campers from Putnam County right alongside campers from Long Island, the Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, Westchester, Dutchess, and even farther afield.
