Welcome Two New Board Members!

Camp Herrlich is proud to announce the appointment of two new members to its Board of Directors: Sean Graves and Andrea McKevitt. Both bring a deep personal connection to Camp Herrlich and a strong commitment to advancing its mission of serving children and families.

Sean Graves, a lifelong member of the Camp Herrlich community, first attended camp at the age of eight. He later returned as a counselor and supported camp operations while working in the infirmary. Sean currently serves as Vice President of Development at Aura Protection, Preparedness and Training Consultants, where he provides executive leadership for healthcare education and workforce development across New York State. He oversees multi-site operations, leads large instructional and administrative teams, builds partnerships with colleges and clinical stakeholders, and drives quality, compliance, and program performance. Sean looks forward to bringing strategic planning, operational discipline, and community-centered leadership to the Board.

Andrea McKevitt’s journey with Camp Herrlich spans more than a decade (2001–2014), growing from camper to counselor and eventually leading the Environmental Education and Reach the Peak programs. She also managed the Before and After School program at MPES, helping children thrive beyond the classroom. Today, Andrea serves as an Elementary School Assistant Principal and Chief Operating Officer of a national sorority. She and her husband stay busy with their daughter, Thea, and son, Leo, and enjoy spending time outdoors and at the beach as a family.

“We are incredibly grateful that Sean and Andrea have chosen to continue being part of the Camp Herrlich family in this new capacity,” said Jessica Vanacoro, Associate Executive Director. “Their lifelong connections to camp, combined with their professional expertise and passion for youth development, make them outstanding additions to our Board. We are thrilled to welcome them to the team.”

Camp Herrlich looks forward to the leadership, insight, and heart that Sean and Andrea will bring as the organization continues its mission of providing transformative experiences for children and families.
