Advantage Before Care Program

Camp Wilbur Herrlich and the Carmel Central School District are pleased to collaborate once again to offer parents a before school program to help our children learn and grow.

Program Highlights

Program Hours are from 7:00AM-9:00AM.
Serving students from Matthew Paterson Elementary School, Kent Primary School and Kent Elementary School
Advantage Before Care calendar follows Carmel Central School District Calendar
Supervised by our experienced, caring staff in a safe and secure environment.
Alternative day programs available at Camp Herrlich during the school vacations
Some staff members from our successful summer program will be involved with the program

Facilities

The Advantage Before Care Program offers services at Matthew Paterson Elementary School and Kent Elementary School. The use of the school facilities will offer a wealth of exciting and educational opportunities for your child including: Playground Facilities, Computer Lab, Library, Arts and Crafts, Homework and Tutoring Areas, new and creative ways to use the outdoors and more!!!

Activities

Advantage Before Care Program Activities include arts & crafts, reading, movies, games and puzzles, story time, and more.

Many of you are familiar with the care and attention given to children in our summer and educational programs. The Advantage Before Care Program provides a safe and secure environment for your child. A ratio of one trained staff member to a maximum of ten children will be maintained.

Program Tuition

The Advantage Before Care Program operates Monday through Friday for the school calendar year. First month's tuition must be paid prior to program start date. Thereafter billing will be processed on a monthly basis, one month in advance. Click on the ABC Flyer and Tuition Schedule below for monthly tuition costs.

Organization Information

Camp Wilbur Herrlich is operated by Mount Tremper Outdoor Ministries, Inc. (MTOM), a nonprofit, non-sectarian organization. MTOM has provided enriching youth experiences, including environmental education program, summer and vacation camping, weekend retreats and a variety of other programs, for more than twenty-five years. Our reputation for quality, safe programming is evident from our nomination for the prestigious Presidential Service Award, a national honor recognizing those organizations that make a lasting contribution to the American community. References from those that have attended our array of programs are available upon request.

MTOM has a permit to operate from the New York State Department of Health. MTOM also has a permit to operate a school-aged child care program from the New York State Department of Children and Family Services. MTOM is a New York State B.O.C.E.S. certified environmental education center and is accredited by the American Camping Association.
